Lore Salas, a former engineer, one day put down her slide rule and picked up a rolling pin. She never looked back.
After relocating to the United States, she pursued professional pastry training, later delving into the world of raw vegan cuisine. This exploration ignited her desire to create a new kind of dessert: plant-based sweets as
stunning and delectable as traditional pastry, but made with healthful, whole, unprocessed ingredients.
Dates & Avocados embodies Lore’s innovative vision, centered on guilt-free enjoyment for everyone with a sweet tooth. Balancing her culinary journey with industry expertise, Lore has also advised hospitality businesses and
launched “@weareaurea,” an online plant-based cooking school. In 2019, she shared her knowledge further with her first cookbook: “Dulce sin Culpa” (“Sinless Sweets”).
